Mottel Baleston, speaks of his Jewish walk as a Christian. His story is an interesting one. He explains why he decided to reconcile the religious foundation of the two groups in reformulating his own views. He says that it was largely due to the controlled nature of the faith of his birth which he could no longer tolerate. He explains that Jews are customarily taught to commit themselves through various outward expressions which inevitably shape their culture. This includes the shaving of the head, the direction in which prayer is conducted, and a vegetarian diet.
