About This Video
Players and a coach from a public high school team outside Atlanta took part in a mass baptism on a football field, prompting an Atheist group to demand an investigation by the school district.
You’d think the players on this high school football team were forced to accept Jesus and get baptized or be thrown off the team, the way the media and atheist groups are reacting.
The local Baptist Pastor officiated the baptismal service and church members were in the crowd. A local member recorded a video of the event and posted it on Youtube. It has since been removed after going viral and catching the eye of the Freedom From Religion Foundation.
This what was stated as the caption for the video:
‘We had the privilege of baptizing a bunch of football players and a coach on the field of Villa Rica High School! We did this right before practice!’
The Freedom from Religion Foundation sent a letter to Carroll County officials Tuesday asking the district to investigate the incident and ensure there are no more religious events that violate students’ constitutional rights on school grounds. The group also requested that the district state the steps it is taking to protect the constitutional rights of students.
19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
